Wahoo

Kingfish on steroids

A colorful speedster. Iredesant blue back, silver sides with a pattern of blue bars till they perish. Size ranges from 11lb (5kg) to 180lb. Has razor sharp teeth and can hit speeds of 60mph. Dense to delicate flesh, similar to mackeral but not as pronounced.

Barracuda

Large fanged ocean and river preditor

Solitary fish that inhabit the ocean anywhere and also spawn in the rivers. They can be up to 6ft long and 12" wide.

This fish can reach speeds of 27mph and grow to 6ft (1.8m). It is an impressive catch

Popular fish in West Africa to smoke, in soup or sauces. Excellent on the grill by itsaelf or basted with a sauce.

Tarpon

Giant inshore acrobat

ThiThis elusive inshore giant has left some empty handed, but catching one makes the prize all worth the effort. Size range is 4 to 8 FT and 50lb (22kg) to 150lb (68kg). The airial jumps and hard pull of this fish is the allure to catching it. The blueish green back, silver side, adorned with large scales and eyes is a spectacular sight.

The flesh not considered desirable, gives this fish a catch and release staus after pictures.

West African Threadfin Salmon

CAPTAINFISH, soft bite, powerful fight

Fast, powerful inshore scrapper is an elusive, soft biting target. They will reach 30lb (13.5kg) to 40lb (18kg). They like rocky bottom near the mouth of estuaries. Underneath their lower jaw they have 6 to 8 feelers or threads , that allow them to find food in murky conditions. Excellent eating fish.

The ladyfish is an active, air acrobat of the bays, estuaries and rivers. Using light tackle they give a very active fight. An area where they are present is interesting because of their frequent but random jumping out of the water

Spanish Mackeral

Voracious sharp toothed schooling fish

Near shore and in bays usually sighted on the surface e can grow to 3ft (1m). A splendid fight on light tackle. They are exciting to watch. Dark blue backs to silvery sides. Excellent eating to those who want fish with flavor.

RECENT CATCHES

The JESSE LEE made her first charter trip on Nov 25. 2013 Very successful trip. Caught the first Liberian Fish for the JESSE LEE, a 90 lb Yellow Fin Tuna.

The Fishing season begins in October the end of rainy season. There are usually plenty of Dorado or Mahi Mahi in and around the flotsam and sea weed the rains have carried out.

Yellow Fin Tuna begin the end of November and are here through April.

At any time there is a chance to hook up a Marlin, Sail Fish or Wahoo

Lately we have been very successful river fishing 25 and 30 lb. barracuda on the calm St. Paul River. Lake Piso offers Barracuda up to 80 lb This is a half day trip, wallet friendly.

Dry Season is here. The weather and fishing are fantastic. We are available every day of the week and weekends. Fishing on the JESSE LEE, would be an exciting outing with family and friends. Come out, LETS GO FISHING!
